Benjamin Atkins started his career in IT and telecommunications as a backbone fiber optics technician. This career naturally led him to the booming industry of data centers and cloud hosting. Benjamin quickly graduated from Data Center engineering to Network and Virtualization Engineering. This experience helped Benjamin transition to designing and building out Enterprise Tier 4 data centers for large companies including Comcast and Symantec. Benjamin is an expert in the field of Data Center infrastructure design and Data Center process optimizations with the use of many DCIM, CMDB and monitoring software tools
Benjamin, a rare native-born DMV local, and his wife live in Northern Virginia. Benjamin has two young children. His interests include watching his son play baseball, attending local events with family, the Washington Nationals, Capitals, and Redskins. Benjamin is also an avid homebrewer with a flair for running his BBQ Smoker on the weekend.
